In a separate bowl, mix in 2 cups of the flour and all of the salt. Another fun thing to learn and write about in spring is insects. Those are much easier, of course, and great for practicing number sense.
I think kids learn a lot more when they write about their learning. They start to include more of the middle sounds of words. Have the children help glue the flower together. When done, cover with another piece of plastic wrap and hang on the windows. Please consult with a medical professional if you suspect any medical or developmental issues with your child.
I think I love my station procedures the best this year. To prepare for this craft, you could have an egg hunt in your classroom where you crumple up center cards for a skill and put them inside plastic eggs.
I love to integrate science into writing as you can see in the picture above from my Spring Writing Crafts pack. As well as talk about the importance of recycling. Storytime in Preschool is great ANY time of day.
